Hi I’m Lorenzo Cercelletta, founder of the multidisciplinary design studio Quiet. I’ve spent over 20 years in the field of design, 13 of which working with successful startups – Clue, Legal OS and CareerFoundry among others – as well as nonprofits such as The UN Refugee Agency. Currently I’m the Director of Regenerative Design at ReGeneration Hub Friuli, taking part in the organization of the green festival NanoValbruna, and design mentor for the German Federal Employment Agency (AfA).
I see myself as a catalyst for regenerative change, leading teams through open-source design methods applied to the most pressing issues of today: climate crisis, biodiversity loss and social inequality. The first step in this regeneration process is to acknowledge we have a problem and call it by its name – Crisis, not change. This global crisis is a phenomenon which demands our undivided attention, a resolute decision and, above all, shared solutions.
The organizations I work for look beyond profit and are driven by a meaningful and measurable purpose. This means focusing on real metrics to measure the positive impact we can have on ecosystems, communities, and the human spirit. When profit is involved, it usually comes as the result of this virtuous process, and that’s obviously a good thing.
